How do you think others see you?
What I’m told is that I’m a leader, I’m outgoing—I don’t know a stranger.
How do you see yourself?
I feel like I’m just the opposite. I’m actually really shy.
I see myself as a sponge, continually learning. I’m not as uncomfortable as I used to be, but still uncomfortable. Uncomfortable is a good place — you’re open and willing to learn.
How do you want to be seen?
I want to be an equal. I don’t want to be a beacon of hope. Recovery is possible and that there’s not just one path. The key is community.
